I heard there was a secret cord
You plug it in, then you meet the Lord.
I literally winced.
Your microphone will wince too. Once. And then it will release some smoke and stink.
Oh, is it powered the same way computers are? I mean, does it work with blue smoke that must in no circumstances be allowed to escape the device?
This is a male XLR. You can’t plug into a microphone. You can destroy your preamp, interface, or mixer though.
True, unless you have some illegal adapters :D
Its like lego but more electrifying
So, does this work for sounding…or is it just like, a necklace situation?
Stop.

Given how odd old electronics are there may actually be a reason for something like this to exist if it actually did. For instance old Commodores used the same kind of DIN port for both power and joysticks so you could plug it into the wrong port. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to find that some old 70s amp had used an XLR port for power.
GooBetter not try plugging that in
Truly balanced?
