There reason there is something instead of nothing is survivorship bias. Since nothing is nothing, including no time, there will ALWAYS be something because nothing can’t exist outside of something.

Why is there anything, including tour consciousness, rather than nothing? And your scenario, where there is nothing and something, and your consciousness is in the something, presumes a reality with something. So if doesn’t answer the question. It’s like someone asking ‘why does 1+1=2’ and you say ‘because 0+1+1=2’
