So, they (the Russians being investigated) likely had ties to Trump, Musk, or both? Get rid of her and dismantle the investigations with Trump’s own appointee, plus it installs another for his side.

That statement literally is a boilerplate.“somebody died” statement, why would that give you the chills?

Because . Think of it as a boilerplate statement if you want, but in this context, I find it disgusting and weird. She is the one who is currently erasing much of the life’s work of the deceased person she is supposedly paying respect to.

My apologies, I was just recalling what was my first reaction and didn’t thought it would get any real traction.

How could a generic AI written statement give you chills?

I’m with them, the response was the basic bitch “thoughts and prayers” public statement you expect from an official. Bondi is scum but that statement was a big nothing sandwich.

I don’t know, the person who dismantled the KleptoCapture programs, reallocated personnel and ressources previously dedicated to targeting Russian oligarchs towards drugs cartel, ended the foreign influence task force and reduced FARA enforcement publicly stating her “heart(!) and prayers go out to her family and friends” after the death of the most prominent figure involved in preventing and fighting foreign influences specially from Russia, is quite disturbing to say the least.

Things are more fucked up than you think they are I think.

I’ve dealt with some wild shit in my life and in the begining I had this denial where it was all surreal. After about 2 years of those surreal events not going away I realized the world really is heartless and there is no protection. From the bottom of the street to the president. Evil is all around us. I think the American Dream ideology desensitizes people to it and people are indoctrinated to believe American success has to do with a person being moral or “good”.

In my personal life it’s like I realized regardless of government and police and teachers and preachers etc, chaos rules and war is constant if you are staying within reality. Most people leave reality via consumerism, and drugs and alcohol. Even today’s entertainment reality TV style politics is escapism. People choose sides and watch but that’s it. It’s like they use is as a fuel to pass time and give them a neuron boost.

If a person detaches from that world of denial they can start to see a lot of people really aren’t there, they aren’t present. They just sort of go through the motions. You can see who is real. Authentically down to earth. And who is like a fiend on a bender. It’s really not much different then seeing someone drunk or methed out except that it is socially accepted, indoctrinated and the norm. You can see their actions are from something other than the internal universal source that powers themselves.

Love your comment. I felt the same but it was after 9/11 so its been a while. Evil is all around us, I agree with that. But you also have good in some people. They just arent interested in control and power, which is why the world feels evil.

Im not American so I dont think of the American dream as more then necessary hope to cope in a society where you are supposed to identify with your title at work, and always wanting more. Its just a dream and often a nightmare to most people living in the US. That pressure to be successful because even your family cares about it must be difficult.

Im definently into escapism myself. I started with computers in my teens to escape the daily life that felt meaningless. Became good at it, got good jobs. But Im still myself and I never became a npc unable to think for myself.

But I do believe that it matters what we do here in this realm. There are a lot of evil people, but the good ones outnumber the bad ones with millions to one. They just dont have any power to change things.

Most people still think they can vote and change things but you can ask anyone in their 50s how that works out for you… :)

Trump, the leader of the most powerful country in the world who is rapidly accelerating away from democracy into an autocracy? He could never.

Why? He doesn’t have to do it himself and all he has to do is get someone who can and will, and we know there are plenty of those types surrounding him.
