I know all that, but we also had two years well above the other ones regarding sea surface temperature : 2023 and 2024. Now we seem to be heading for the strongest El Nino ever recorded, even by a wide margin. So I’m now expecting the unexpected. Let’s hope you’re right.

I would think most of it, since when you filter for other regions (Europe, Asia, etc), you don’t get such a strong trend. So if it is mostly driven by the US, I would exclude single users to be the cause. I don’t think there is any reason the user market would be this different there from other parts of the world.

You could also say that it chooses what will be the next word it will say to you. It has a few words to choose from, which it has selected in relation to the previously spoken words, your question and previous interactions (the context). The probability you’re talking about (a number) could also be seen as it’s preference among those words. I’m not sure the probability vocabulary/analogy is necessarily the best one. The best might be to not employ any analogy at all, but then you have to dig deeper into the subject to form yourself an informed opinion.
