Happy Friday!

Someone shared this on the RaptorCAM Facebook group and I thought it was fun.

Check out the live RaptorCAM here to check up on the baby owls!

      Great Horned Owl wiki:

Mean body weight is 1,608 g (3.545 lb) for females and 1,224 g (2.698 lb) for males.

Owls are about 60% feathers, but that still seems impressive for that little kid.

I got to handle a Screech Owl this week and it was about the size and weight of an empty soda can. The leather glove was heavier! 😁

I once had the opportunity to pet an owl and it’s kinda weird how the feather-shape offers almost no resistance and underneath is just a typical bird shape. I’ll stick to petting cats in the future.

I did too. I’m not a meme poster, but this one was just too fun and appropriate for here.

I’m more concerned about that girl than I am about that owl. And that’s a scary-looking owl.

Who knows. The woman that girl becomes may look back on this pic with fond remembrance.

I looked for the source or a follow up to it, but didn’t see anything. It seems to be portrayed very positively in all the reposts, so I believe both girl and owl would approve!

Yeah, it’s an oldie. I remember seeing that on Reddit back in the day.
