She said her instructor told her “You know what to do” before leaping from the aircraft.

More that she was a student who landed a plane after her instructor literally jumped out and died. I get that landing a little cesna like that isn’t hard, but it’s a hell of an stressfull circumstance.

Doing anything while in shock is no simple feat. It’s almost as if militaries have entire multi-week to multi-month long training procedures to work around that … that are still largely ineffective on first contact.
