When words like “woke” “DEI” or any of the other ones adjacent to them are use to express displeasure of any kind I immediately lose interest in what they have to say.

Muchlike i do with people that blame [insert thing they don’t like] on [insert political ideology they don’t agree with] instead of coming up with, you know, facts and reasoning or something.

Bike lanes are weak and unmanly because they don’t contribute to our demise as a species.

Why do republicans insist on waking up from sleep every morning?

    Waking up is super woke.

Real TRUE PATRIOTS go to sleep once, and stay that way forever, to own the libz.

I will receive a lot of downvotes, but I remember the time when words were used to inspire thoughts that inspire emotions. Today they go straight to emotions

That’s how Pete’s 2016 campaign presented it phonetically when people were still unsure how to pronounce his name. Not much of an insult but nobody has ever accused this administration of being clever.

By far, most cyclists I see are white men. Are white men the reason DEI is a problem?

Any time you see a politician ranting about DEI, replace it in your mind with the n-word. That’s what they’re really saying. No, it doesn’t matter that people of any race can use it; Republicans have spent the past 6 decades cementing the idea of public projects and vilified racial minorities being inherently linked.

It has been unseasonably cool where I live. We’re talking low 80’s, 26-ish celcius.

Weather is very hard to conceptualize for us monkeys. It’s very easy for someone who never needs to stay in one place to have a completely incorrect perception of what weather or climate actually is. People who do stay in one place seem to struggle with it, that should tell you what you need to know.

Ok, but I’m assuming you’re not a total idiot who extrapolates from local weather?

No, but my Trump voting office trog sure does. Never misses a chance to point out oddly cool weather, as if it somehow means climate change is not real.

Is it also very hard for monkeys to look at graphs? They don’t seem to have trouble with it when it’s in service of screwing us out of money

When you’re asking them to look at graphs or the obscene wealth they can gain from screwing others over — yes, yes it is very hard.

I’m not justifying or excusing their behavior. I’m just explaining it.

People are not becoming obscenely wealthy from hating on bike lanes. They’re just brainwashed morons.

People are absolutely becoming wealthy off of climate change denial, driving hate towards bike lanes is absolutely a part of that.
