It’s about a wronged noblewoman, discredited, framed, and sold in to prostitution in India. She manages to turn the tables and gain control of the situation. Van Hamme (of Largo Winch, Thorgal and XIII frame) is co-writer, and it’s not his very best work, but Rani is still a compelling series, a bit in the Comte de Monte-Cristo vein.
