Icarus Robotics is a startup with at least six million dollars in funding so far. the idea is to train robots on human workers to make space mass production… work. or something.

Obvious grift company aside, take a guess what the Greek air force officially calls their flying officers.
Although to be fair being deliberately morbid is a definitely a thing in the military, and the writing on their logo is doric greek for “We’ll do better”.
They say “the arts” are a waste of time.
As I grow older, I realize that the technical skills are easy to acquire and that knowledge, understanding, and wisdom takes time.
With a name like that, there’s no limit to the heights they can reach!

Coincidentally, I was passing Brasilia airport yesterday, and there’s a company called “Icarus Aviation”. Which I thought was a … bold … choice of name.
I guess the real innovation we might hope from a company like this is that they make robots that don’t break, even when they fall from LEO. 🤣
