I don’t know, I think the “Soviet school” of shutting down the other player’s options one by one then grinding them down has a certain stylishness to it as well.

Speed chess usually has a romantic style because at least one player is trying to rip off the head of their opponent. With limited time - it’s harder to defend than attack.
