You’ll see the baseball unity, high school assemblies, how people joined the military, but leave out the treatment of Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, even Christians, etc., who wear cultural clothing, 4th Amendment ignorance, airport demeaning searches getting worse, and the expanse of hatred. Had they taught empathy about how those terrorists didn’t know how to care for others and what the world needs, it would have been just as vital as the cleaned out messages of flags and patriotism ignoring how much freedom and Constitution the terrorists were able to make people give up at the behest of their officials using the same fear.
