Fritters are fried, cinnamon rolls are baked.

Also, fritters typically have a sugary coating whereas cinnamon rolls have cream cheese coating on them.

Very similar, but also very different.

Addendum, if you put buttercream icing on a cinnamon roll, you deserve to go to the seventh circle of hell.

Something in that “crunchy outside / chewy inside” lane like cacahuates japoneses or Nerds gummy clusters or Mentos, for sure. But ideally with the flavor of eggs on toast.

Haha, reminds me of that Peruvian snack “canchas,” which is like baked or fried extra-large corn kernals. Super crunchy and delicious, but I’m not sure if they’re best for one’s health, plus they can be a bit bland in taste for visitors, yadda-yadda.

EDIT: Oh, right, dammit. There’s indeed a version in the USA called “Corn Nuts,” yeah?

Except corn nuts tend to be so seasoned they contain 1000% of your daily sodium.

Canchitas are awesome! You get a little ramikin at Peruvian restaurants like you might get chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant.

They exist! I don’t know if Pringles makes any themselves, but there are a bunch of copycat brands that sell them that you can find online.

They’re… okay. The coating completely overwhelms the chip so it mostly just tastes like salted chocolate. Not bad, but nowhere near worth what they charge for the things.

I’ve never liked S’mores. Yeah, I know, marshmellow just isn’t my thing. But it feels to me like there ought to be a Graham cracker + chocolate + peanut or peanut butter combo out there that would synergize with sitting around a campfire. I’ve just never figured it out. Best I can come up with is peanut butter on Graham crackers dipped in chocolate fondue.
