His head is like twice as big as mine lol. First time I saw him I was like “that is definitely not a dog”
Such sweet eyes very good boi
This was him just after a bath too apparently. I got so much hair on me petting him.
Also I am not joking his head is literally two of mine.
It’s the time of the years again where dogs shed multiple times their body weight in hair. Per day.
This is my large-headed son.
Its so cool that you met a sweet old guy with a head twice your head size who is definitely not a dog
Why does it look more dog-like than a normal German Shepard?
Probably because German Shepards have been increasingly bred to look all sorts of fucked up
What a massive cutie!
Yeah the pic does not do him justice he is fucking huge. Each of those steps is at least 8 inches
I want to be his uncle
Interesting that his fur colour doesn’t really look very wolflike, though I guess as you said, you can tell by how big his head is.
That is cuz he is also part German shepherd, he got the full GSD coloration going on but trust me if you saw him IRL you’d react just like I did when I first saw him.
That is not a dog.
the ears are another telltale sign notice how they have a concave profile.
I’ve just never seen a wolfdog where the dog colouring is so prominent, that’s all, usually they have a more wolf-like coat (though I think all the wolf dogs I’ve seen have been huskies and malamutes, which have a somewhat similar coat colour already)
Yeah the GSD coloring is really prominent in this one but if you saw him in person you would know what I mean he is an absolute unit.
That’s awesome, hybrid animals (the ones that don’t have major issues) are really cool.
Yeah he is also quite old and that is probably why he’s super chill also.
I normally am very against letting a wolfdog out in public or even people owning them without super specific qualifications but this one is a rescue and seems to be pretty tame. I even gave him a big ol’ hug right before I took that picture because I’ve known them for a while.
That said he could literally rip me in half with relative ease and that alongside their wildness is why people should not just bring any wolfdog out in public.
Big good boy
What a good guy
