Likely depends a lot on what you feed them, but since chicken and turkey are better for the environment than beef, i’d put my money on ostrich and emu being the better choice.

I am so glad China is proving betting on renewable energy isn’t only morally the right thing to do but also economically the smartest thing to do. That will really help battling climate change now the US walked out.
The Germans actually did something like this in the late 19th century lol,
I got the sarcasm, chose to respond as if it weren’t 😬
Security when flying within europe can really differ from airport to airport though. I’ve had times they made a big deal out of everything including dogs sniffing everone all the way to my bag just went through a scanner but nobody watched the screen.
I just put up content that I find interesting and that I think others might also want to check out.
Nothing wrong with that. Just realised i hadn’t seen something not serious posted in this community i wondered whether it was because it wasn’t posted or because it was but got removed because of a rule.
Do it have to have an account on piefeed to post there?
No it’s an fork of lemmy i believe (or slightly edited?), not sure how it works on the backend but you can subscribe, and follow, and post and comment etc, just as with any regular lemmy instance.
Thanks & you’re welcome.
Talking AFK is probably a lot better in this regard
Also when someone doesnt understand something the way you mean it to you’ll likely notice in a heartbeat so you wouldn’t end up in some heated argument while you agree ;)
An early documented example is Broadway in New York City, which follows the Wecquaesgeek trail which predates American colonization.
Nice
weren’t supposed to
As if walking on grass in an emtpy park is comparable to driving a red light on a busy street.
Someone posted a link to Wikipedia in the comments, came across their names:
Richard Corsi, an environmental engineer and the incoming Dean of Engineering at the University of California, Davis
Jim Rosenthal, the CEO of filter manufacturer Tex-Air Filters
Lets hope so indeed, but unfortunately there is a lot of space between ultra-violence and no-doing-anything. The government could still have gathered info that it might use later when there are less journalists watching.
The port lost about 8 per cent of its trade, principally oil, after the EU imposed sanctions on Russia.
Less trade might also mean more empty space. Better to find space now for all the military equipment that’ll be coming in if Russia attacks a NATO-member.
Last year, Canadians spent $20.5 billion—nearly twice what Americans spent at McDonald’s restaurants in all of last year.
I read something about taking up Trump’s asylum offer was only interesting for people without money, since if you have money you have land and leaving that behind will likely mean it gets squatted. Not sure how true that actually is, but if it is they’re not gonna mean much for income from tourism.
In the Monday evening meeting, which diplomats described as somber, Brussels noted that it hadn’t received any guarantees from the U.S. administration that there wouldn’t be further U-turns on tariffs.
Must be so hard if you have a business with major stakes in EU-US imports/exports.
@EuroMod@feddit.org, I went to check the sidebar to check rules on non-political content and saw there still is a link to the lemm.ee community yurop. They moved to piefed and changed their name to be more clear about their intention (they felt the old name too much suggested there is only place for memes) !casualeurope@piefed.social
Not sure if you know about the community @CAVOK@lemmy.world. Though much smaller in size they’d sure like to read about traveling Denmark.
To regular people yes, but in the minds of ceo’s and policymakers less so i guess.
Wrote the following earlier today to another post
[…] i see a lot of media calling border checks ‘the end of Schengen’ but i feel that is so much of an exaggeration. I’m not in favour of these checks, but the underlying principles that make the Schengen area possible (freedom of movement for goods, people and services) still holds as it has for years. It’s not like what is and isn’t allowed has changed, only whether it’s checked you are following the rules. I’m not saying this is a useful way of spending money but I feel the media in general are really happy to write about how the EU is crumbling apart, foretelling some kind of European apocalypse. The shift to the right caused much worse things than border checks, also for asylum seekers. We’re about to lock people up outside of the EU for processing and nowhere do i read how this is ‘straining the fabric of European decency’ or something like that.
Despite the clickbaity headline, this article actually shows why these measurements are taken: they are symbolic to the people who feel overwhelmed by migration. Good job DW, not going all alarmist nor taking the ‘keep calm and carry on’-route.
Meat alternatives are often scored on how environment friendly they are per gram of protein, same with milk alternatives. Though i suppose better per kg of product, you’d still miss important data if you’d only consider proteins.
