The Orville is pretty much self funded, it makes sense why they write so much better.

They really should’ve secured the rights to the Star Trek IP 15 years ago.

Can they even be allowed to actually chalenge systems of domination? There’s big money behind nutrek, it makes sense they only push for mediocre and safe writing and flashy “magical” special effects.

There’s plenty of examples where well written social progress doesn’t spark much anti woke discussion online, even in 2025-26.
