I’m in a relatively high up position, so the audience was the C level types. I find they tend to prefer the AI type responses, mine tend to be a bit information dense.

So, my workflow now is to draft, put it through AI then re-edit to remove the typical AI hallmarks.

It was someone in a higher position than I, and I’m 4 months in to the role. So…

It’s old, but I taught myself to cook watching Good Eats. His stuff isn’t always the best, and some of his methods are out of date now. He makes you understand what you are doing though, not just showing recipes.

I’m re-watching through with my kiddo now as he learns to cook and it still holds up. He’s in middle school and just started a home cooking class and has been cooking circles around his classmates.

It’s just awful these days. I was presenting the other day with some co-workers. One made a nice looking edit to a slide, but had some typos. I asked for the original since the slide was just a rendered image. The response I got was the prompt they used to generate the slide in copilot “give me an engaging slide using this information…”

I re-drew the damn thing in like 5 minutes myself, but jebus, this is what counts as work these days?

This is so that he can call it a national emergency and bypass all laws, requirements and such.

No, not a chance. They need to make these criminals accountable, and if they can’t, they need to invent new laws to lock them away forever (no joke, I don’t care how unconstitutional it is, never stopped the current administration). Things need to change, this has to be a lesson.

I doubt it will happen though. 4 seconds after winning, if the dems get power, they will once again discover decorum and will claim it to be their most precious asset.

But even then I won’t despair, because at least a slightly less criminal enterprise will be in control and we can vote for better ones next time.

This of course will never happen though, because instead of incremental changes for good in the right direction, moron Americans will fall for the next “one weird trick” when a single election doesn’t solve every problem in the world.

Eh, maybe some despair after all.

I keep trying to be seen for therapy, or to get a diagnosis. All they ever do is prescribe me another brain pill that does nothing but gives me hemroids.

Mental health in the US is completely fucked, efforts aren’t made, unless it’s for a pill they can sell you.

This is the kind of existential dangers that AI poses. Not skynet, no rogue AI escaping, no AGI that decides another fate for us… it’s going to happen because of a stupid human mistake as we abandon our critical thinking abilities. One day we’re going to launch a nuke, or blow up something in the wrong country, not AI, us, blindly following the hallucinations of a billionaire’s toy.

I’m starting to get annoyed that Sheeran is getting all the hate, save an equal amount for kraft, people…

I get it, but I also think that those that benefit the most from our society, have a larger butden than most when it comes to speaking up about these issues.

Ed Sheeran has enough money, and has enough resources that he could take a stand himself. I could give it more of a pass had it not been for the him saying Macklemore’s words were offensive to some. I’ve heard what he said and it’s very clear it’s a supportive and positive message.

It’s a tough situation without a doubt, and in any other times it would be not a big deal. But man, what a shit state the world is in where standing up against dead kids is an offensive message that could end a music tour.

It’s not aggression, it’s deep regret, sadness and desperation for some humanity in the world.

I don’t miss the tube days. I still remember the day Sony’s new 36” flat screen tv’s came in and I had to unload a semi trailer full of them alone. Each one weighed 276 pounds.

There is some kind of incentive structure to look this fucked up. There is a whole different world where looking like a parody of yourself is virtue signaling, shows that you can afford to look like such a cartoon. It’s the same reason maga face is a thing. Humans aren’t attracted to it physically, but you can tell they that they have enough money to do that to themselves and not have to feel embarrassed.

They all must have figured out by now that they are hitting a limit. I honestly don’t think LLMs will lead us to AGI. I’m sure it’s a step on the path to it, but I’m think it’s a lot further than most think.

So, they make this “agreement”, then the slowdown is just being “responsible” so that the investors don’t panic. Meanwhile they all go full tilt behind the scenes to try to find the next breakthrough.
