For a guy fighting against terminal cancer with no hope of help, he sure was quick to use euthanasia on someone that could have had lots of options in treatment.

The only terminal cancer worth mentioning around here is MS-DOS.

Surely losing the bagage and making the money he needed to setup his family was the priority in that case?

Jesse was a tool, he needed that tool to achieve his goals in a limited time frame, rehabing two addicts is time consuming and difficult under the best circumstances.

A bit of a sociopath take sure, but Heisenberg may have been one in the end.

          That was, in fact, wrong.

Just because there is a high priority present doesn’t magically make it ok to throw your humanity out the window… Why do I have to explain this!? Are you a sociopath?!

That ENTIRE SHOW was about how he had many chances to choose to not be a piece of shit. Every spiral was because of him. He is, in fact, a terrible person, and the fact you cannot understand that is concerning. Having one singular noble goal does NOT magically absolve him of all of his terrible decisions.

My original reply was joking about killing Windows not being wrong, then obviously we’ve pivoted into talking about the actual show.

            Two separate sentiments entirely.

Walter was a monster who put his own ambitions above others needs, safety and lives. You happy I cleared that up?

They started out by saying Walter White did nothing wrong.

Then they followed up by describing WW actions as a sociopath. Which makes what he did, in fact, wrong.

this is exactly the struggle of the early 21st century.

Those problems persist to this day. Just like how Trump (didn’t) delt with COVID.

“The economy” took precedence over peoples’ health, even though peoples’ activity makes the economy… By allowing so many to die, the US’ economy will produce far less than it would have for decades to come. They failed even at the direct goal they were aiming for…

The short-sightedness is the problem. People who think they even can defocus on any goal are only succeeding in deluding themselves.

IIRC he passed up a full ride of chemo treatment, and his family getting taken care of by his rich friend all to serve his ego.

I want to know the general opinion on this:

      [SPOILERS AHEAD]

      spoiler

Was Walter trying to save Jesse from going down a spiral of hard drugs or was he just trying to keep Jesse clean for work?

The other option is that he is just an ass and he kind of wanted to see her die.

When I saw this scene I kind of saw him realising both were a big win for him personally which was why the decision was made

BTW not sure if it’s just my client (eternity) but your spoiler tags didn’t work

Edit. Look what just popped up https://feddit.nl/post/19814905

I always inclined myself for the first one. I mean, saving Jesse. But it could be just me trying to still see a human being in WW.

About the spoiler, i cant see it either. I thought it was a Boost only issue. Will add a better sign for the unspoiled to come.

IMO Walt saw that he was losing control over Jesse and he didn’t like that. He did what he did to Jane in order regain that control. I dont think it was an act of altruism.

I think the point was, simply, that there was a clear moral path (albeit a difficult one) and he chose…not that. And someone innocent was harmed as a result.

    [Verse 1]
He used windows, she ran nixos Can I make it any more obvious?
He was a sheep, she did ricing What more can I say? He wanted her, she’d never tell
    Secretly she hated M$
All of her friends told her on lemmy
That they had a problem with his windows phone
    [Chorus]
He was a windows boy, she said, “That’s so insecure”
He didn’t have a nix config
She had a pretty rice, but hyprland kept crashing
She needed to check on the wiki
    [Verse 2]
Five days from now, she sits at home
Thinkin’ bout hopping, she’s not alone She turns on PC, guess what she sees?
Windows boy checkin’ out POP OS
She dms her friends, they already know
And they’ve all seen his youtube video
She watches it too and laughs when she sees
    He can’t even apt-get steam
He was a Windows boy, she said, “That’s so insecure”
He didn’t have a nix config
Now he’s a pop user, already on lemmy threads
Does your pretty rice see his better one?
He was a Windows boy, she said, “That’s so insecure”
He didn’t have a nix config
Now he’s a pop user, already on lemmy threads
Does your pretty rice see his better one?
    [Bridge]
Hey here, girl, check his dotfiles Well, tough luck, he’s on Arch now
And he’s done more that just that

Tell he is a massive geek
There more commits on his gitlab
He contributes to the kernel [Breakdown]
He’s used windows, now it is arch
Can I make it any more obvious? We is a nerd, haven’t you heard
How we spread the freedom word [Chorus] (Btw-btw-btw)
