I think you’re misreading the comment, they clearly were speaking about Walter’s point of view and motivations.
They started out by saying Walter White did nothing wrong.
Then they followed up by describing WW actions as a sociopath. Which makes what he did, in fact, wrong.

IMO Walt saw that he was losing control over Jesse and he didn’t like that. He did what he did to Jane in order regain that control. I dont think it was an act of altruism.
I like this take. I think it’s much more consistent with the character.
I think the point was, simply, that there was a clear moral path (albeit a difficult one) and he chose…not that. And someone innocent was harmed as a result.
