See this is what I mean, they have to be making their site unbearable on purpose at this point
lol I got banned for lightly harassing a nerd with an Israeli flag profile pic posting on r/cats
Ain’t been back since anyway, I’m doing my part!
The day they went public they also blocked old.reddit.com for VPN users, previously it was accessible that way
old.reddit.com for VPN users
I use a old and a VPN and I’ve never been blocked if I’m signed in.
I just tested it with PIA (not an endorsement, I bought five years back when it was good and didn’t know about mulvad) and it worked. They might just be blocking specific ones or something.
WOAH THERE PARDNER
If you are signed in you can access reddit via a VPN. If you’re signed out you get that smug snew image. Its not just reddit either: Instagram, twitter, Facebook, all fuck with you if you arrive via a VPN IP Address. Insta will say there is an error. Twitter redirects you to login. Facebook will just ban your account. Reddit I think will also ban your account if you’re even remotely “bad”.
Did you try a VPN node from a different country? Might just be where you’re at.
Mullvlad VPN. Doesn’t matter where the node is at
On Mullvad, I’ve found that servers beginning with a certain number are usually not blocked. Not saying the exact number so that it stays semi-secret, if it is even a secret.
Basically, a whole set of x** seems to be unblocked, where x is a number. So the 100s, 200s, 300s, 400s, or 500s. Try it out! Or DM me and I’ll just say the range.
You gotta make your own VPN by installing a ras-pi in the drop ceiling of a bathroom somewhere with free Wi-Fi, alligator clips on the lights for power.
And on that day, nothing was lost.

I’m on Mullvad and this happens with every country available except for the UK servers. I usually just use Libredirect though because redlib still works with VPN.
yeah, thats what switched me from using it occasionally to never.
the odd occasion i go one some craft subreddit and have to turn my fucking vpn off for embroidery resources i radicalize all over again
