You know, people understand the reality of Israeli occupation UNTIL you mention the name ‘Israel’; if I told anyone: picture a nation (your own if it makes you more thoughtful) where the people currently living there are murdered and expelled by folks from halfway round the world. The remnants of these people are then relegated to small patches of land where they suffer horrifying police brutality, malnutrition and deliberately lowered standard of life and possible prospects, meanwhile people are coming over from those places in the world to now live on the very plots of land that were just emptied of their original owners; the owners aren’t necessarily dead and may be among those living in that open air prison, and the people coming over know this and MORE than just being fine with it, have been vocal about wanting the remnants expelled. Where do you stand on this matter?

Now when you mention Israel, regardless of what thoughts this explanation provokes, they’ll still believe Israel must somehow be in the right. It’s not a logical thing, it’s just vibes. Everything in this explanation is itself still an extremely watered down explanation of the much, much worse reality of Israel’s almost eighty years of occupation.

Nobody that needs convincing has enough compassion to ever see past their blind hatred. They’ve already decided who the good guys are us-foreign-policy and have enough liberal talking points to justify genocide. There’s nothing worse they can justify. This is the top of the ladder, and they bend over backwards to support the aggressors.
