The comments are marginally better than I expected.
Worth noting that the majority opinion (specifically John Roberts’ concurrance) that overturned Roe V Wade literally used this same logic:
In short, the viability rule was created outside the ordinary course of litigation, is and always has been completely unreasoned, and fails to take account of state interests since recognized as legitimate. It is indeed “telling that other countries almost uniformly eschew” a viability line. Ante, at 53 (opinion of the Court). Only a handful of countries, among them China and North Korea, permit elective abortions after twenty weeks; the rest have coalesced around a 12–week line.

Iran gives free healthcare to trans people, Israel doesn’t
doesn’t Iran forcibly transition gay cis people
though ive also heard they do mandatory celibacy or straight marriages as well
hopefully they fix that
Well the current government is a far right wing theocracy so I doubt it
who knows, they did it with trans stuff, maybe theyll decide to change their minds based on some obscure passage again

Truths are complicated and challenging. We don’t have to take sides or teams; although I know it’s difficult given then times we live in, where we feel the pressure to take sides given how fast we are bombarded with information. Join me and others in the effort to be comfortable with cognitive dissonance, and remember that regardless of any political leaning or nationality, we are all connected by our common humanity. Let’s not antagonize eachother. Good luck in your search for answers.
