The main issue, I’d say, is the fact there’s no anti-ICE. I.e. a group of similarly unidentified and masked people abducting white supremacists, racists and bigots, beat the shit out of them and throwing them out in the middle of nowhere afterwards.
Only the existance of such a group would truly force ICE to identify themselves properly.
It’s the same reason bullying cases are becoming increasingly common and outright ignored for ‘prestige’ reasons.
The laws have long since been sidestepped and defiled, but it’s just starting to reach critical mass in number of people being affected. Democracy continues to be practiced as a very unserious form of governance and it is getting worse.
