My number one is Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. It’s been my favorite anime for a long time since watching SAC as a teenager and I want to be her. I also feel like a machine alienated from humanity while still wanting to be human on some level.

Maomao from Apothecary Diaries has been a recent strong relate. She has a keen hyperfixation on her specific interests which include an interest in sexuality in an academic sense, which fits my kinky demi-ace sensibilities like a glove.
Entrapta from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power can be friends with literally anyone who shares her interests and sees the good in everyone, which unfortunately tracks with my unawareness of red flags in other people.
Rumi from Kpop Demon Hunters knocks it out of the park as a trans allegory and Golden is my new personal anthem.
There is a character, which after i realised that i’m trans, who is literally me, even has same name. As far as i remember, this is a video game or anime character, but after searching online for character with this name, i did not found anything closely related to what i remember. Maybe i just got a mandela effect, that my mind just merged features of several characters into one, so i dont really know who that character was, but at least i am myself.

I looked up Ragatha and was struck at how well she would fit together with a character I made for a game called Puppetland (a darkly cynical game about self-motivating puppets fighting … I’m not sure I can summarize the game and do it justice: it’s a very dark game, though):
