Uh huh. If your idea of communism involves militarization of the state or dictatorship in any form, you’re not a communist, you’re just a fascist in red. The only strawman here is you trying to pretend it’s only anti-communists who call people tankies and not actual leftists who aren’t cool with genocidal dictatorships.

I don’t know which type of society would be better and work long term and on a large scale. I do know, however, that capitalism and nation states have failed spectacularly and we need to try something else. And it’s most likely not something that’s been tried so far.
Say what you will about China but they’ve been great on solar so far, which is a huge net positive for the environment and reversing climate change.
How would your society solve this ultra specific scenario that I made up, I need step by step instructions or your ideology is a joke.
And even if you bring up a perfect argument they scoff and say that it’s too good to be true and an unrealistic utopia
Except for state communism you can point to multiple historical examples where it failed, especially ones that online tankies typically defend.
