[orange, proud]
We built a machine that can answer ANY question
[green, curious]
Cool, how does it work?
[orange points at a conveyor belt on which children are sitting, which leads to a creepy machine]
First, you feed it a few orphans (it’s important that they’re still alive)
[orange points at the other end of the machine, which is producing a document]
Then it grinds them up into fuel for the machine and provides you with the answer to your question
[orange, to green]
Oh and it gives you wrong answers sometimes
[green, blasé]

A less funny version of this?

I guess so, happens often.
Though usually it’s xkcd or Bors that did it first.
Yeah, it might be coincidence but this is the OG
Exactly what I was thinking. /R/yourjokebutworse
NeOoOoOo wAkE uP nEoOoOoO
I mean, we’re already feeding LLMs entire power grids, people’s health and the climate of the planet.
Which is why we need to keep starting more wars lest we run out of orphans.
Less mouths to feed, means less orphan feeding taxes.
Less orphans means less hands to work undesirable jobs.
Also people would be less said about all those orphans around.
“orphans” would imply “others”.
In the case of noise pollution, unnecessary energy consumption contributing to climate change, hot water discharge into water sources, in the end, it’s everyone paying the price so that someone can generate AI slop, that is intellectual theft of everyone’s work in art, literature, code, etc.
