Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville called for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to be arrested and sent to the infamous American torture prison at Guantanamo Bay. Mamdani’s crime? Calling indicted alleged war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu an “architect of genocide,” responsible for a series of atrocities in the ongoing war on Gaza.
“Sooner or later,” Mamdani will “do something more stupid than what he’s done, where we will finally say enough is enough, go put the handcuffs on him … and send him to Gitmo,” Tuberville, a Republican, said, calling Mamdani a “thug.”

What does history teach us about stopping fascism?
Historical anachronism it would’ve been a 1911, Webley revolver, Soviet Nagant, or whatever the fuck the French had look I don’t know French guns.
Ironically I passed over an image of a 1911 because I figured the glock would be more recognized in this day and age

Fascism is heavily contradictory. Maybe Joe’ shop is watched carefully for making gay cakes, but WalMart will do whatever they want as long as they donate a ballroom every few years
Historical fascism wasn’t like that: big companies were watched more closely. Each director board of a large company needed to have at least one representative of the fascist party.
Of course, the question is what you do with that power. And there probably fascism fails the “evil test”
But in principle I think that business (especially big business) should serve the common interest (represented by the state) and not the other way around
It’s also kinda wrong for fascism, in that in a lot of ways, fascism in practice is a sort of merger of the state and big business.
I would take the nationalization of vital industries, like space travel, air travel, trains, education, and healthcare… but
yeah, not that.
