These tariffs have been introduced under Section 338 of the 1930 Tariff Act, which covers trade discrimination rather than national emergencies (the mechanism used for the previous tariffs which the Supreme Court struck down recently).

    Name checks out. Tarrifs are a tax on Canadians. Surcharge energy potash and critical minerals so that the outgoing goods are matched with the same price across the board exclusively to the us, no carve outs.

        That will just start bombing. Carney is blowing hundreds of billions of defence, which will all be useless.

      He has a point about the alcohol. We should put it back on shelves. At this point, no one will buy it. I’m even avoiding US soda companies.

      Maybe a cap on exports to the USA. Set it just above the current amount and force them to negotiate if they want it increased.
