This whole thing is really shredding Reform’s small stockpile of credibility. They didn’t realize that Count Binface, though a space alien, has more in common with the average person than Farage could ever pretend to.

Sadly credibility means nothing today. A good chunk of the UK’s population is perfectly fine turning a blind eye at corruption and the sacking of the country, as long as it is wrapped in a nice package of racism and oversimplified (impossible) solutions to complex problems.

I mean, that’s kinda been the goal of the conservatives in the UK since Thatcher. Most wealthy people in liberal democracies all over the globe covet the amount of freedom from and power over the government wealthy have in the US, especially compared to how little they are forced to contribute to society.

He got 46% of the vote with multiple none right wing candidates turn out 58%.

He must have pissed off at least a few of of his former voters by now. Plus this is amusing so turn out will be higher.

Is not outside the realm possibility he could lose this. If he wins the investigation is back on because no matter what he says resigning and reapplying has no effect on the investigation, so that’s a shallow victory.

The absolute best outcome here would be that Farage loses. But a good second place would be he wins but at the cost of losing the Manchester mayor election because of reallocated resources / scandal of all this happening.

I love how they are now acting as if count bin face is a real political threat.

He’s a comedian in a mask you idiot, no one’s funding him. It actually doesn’t cost a lot of money to stand in an election, the expensive bit is advertising. But Reform doing that for him by having Nigel act like a giant baby.

The thing is that he is a real political threat to them specifically because he’s a comedian in a mask and succeeding at making Farage look as ridiculous as he is

Only if the tyranny is nascent. If its already well established all it does is make it seem like less of a problem than it actually is.

This by-election is a two horse race. One candidate is unserious, unfit to represent the people and says things that are just outright satirical. The other candidate is Count Binface.
