Let’s think positive… what’s gone well recently?
The US govt issued me a passport with the correct gender marker on it!
Hell yeah!!
Big win today for me, I’ve been trying to lose weight for a very particular goal and I just reached my (first) target weight I had been aiming for! Needed to make sure it was “official” so was done on one of those fancy scales that can somehow work out fat percentages and muscle mass etc.
Still plenty of work to go but getting past that first checkpoint feels great!
Congrats!! That first goal reached can feel like the hardest. You should feel proud of yourself!!
I wore a skirt I made to work for the first time this week! Been sewing for years but finally built up enough confidence to wear my own pieces to the office.
That’s really cool! I’m always so impressed with people who can make clothes. Do you post your projects at all? I’d love to see it!

I got to try out my chosen name at a convention over the weekend.
I was a little worried it would feel insincere or forced compared to my given name, or that i wouldn’t respond to it. But it felt sooo right. And i effortlessly recognized and responded to it too!
My passports came back with my shiny new 3-year visa. This means I can make update my plane tickets with the new information and can get the rail tickets to Changsha for the leg out on my trip to Cambodia in 11 days. (Well, the actual trip to Cambodia starts in two weeks, but SO and I are spending a few days in Changsha as well.)
I had six inches taken off my hair today so it falls just a bit lower than chest-length now and got lots of cute layers added. My new stylist did a great job and I’m thinking of going back to her and getting some rose gold highlights. Kinda lots of maintenance but it would be fun! Cutting so much is kinda scary with long hair but it was so worth it!
