    Didn’t Moffat establish (at Christmas, no less!) that the Doctor is naked all the time and the clothes are just virtual? That explains the change during 13-14 and how the old costume fits a new body with an different build during other regenerations. No idea why they look raggedy after a change.

      I think that was an occasion thing (He was going to the church). Jodie’s regeneration had her using Capaldi’s clothes, that’s why Tennant’s bugged me because the whole outfit change it.

    In canon, no.

    IRL, RTD didn’t want to deal with viewers laughing at David wearing “women’s” clothes, even though Jodie’s outfit was fairly unisex IMO.

    I expect the size difference would have been more of a practical issue.

      That’s the simplest thing to disregard - give him the same clothes but his size. The question isn’t even worth asking IMO.

    not as far as i know, but they did make a point of showing the master regenerate into whittakers outfit, so it is defiantly implied that there is something wrong going on here, but since the chrismtas special was cancelled, we likely will never know the original intent.
