I’m most familiar with LA’s history of police gangs, but my understanding is they are not a total outlier. If anything, movies consistently downplay just how bad our police actually are, even when they take a critical stance on them. The copaganda is so pervasive that even people who dislike cops underestimate just how dire things are.

It’s really upsetting that you’re basically denying the lived reality of so many marginalized groups. I’ve met people who refuse to say ACAB that are less ignorant about our cops than you.

How exactly is me stating the fact that the police are not “murdering people for fun” denying the lived experince of marganized groups?
You understand that saying something positve about a person or institution does not mean you defend every single bad/illegal thing said person or institution has ever done, correct?
It’s not “copoganda” to state the fact that American police do not drive around and shoot random people for the hell of it. God damn wtf is wrong with this picture?
