I don’t get it. I just don’t. Why so hideous, it looks like they intentionally made it horrible. Just hope somehow it contributes to make the value of my 2022 GTB rise in a couple of years…

I mean I can tell you why it looks like that. I can’t tell you why it looks like that and costs $600k.

Hyundai Ionic made baby with some sort of Tesla. This describes all the newer Porsche too

What I feel is missing in the “attracting a different audience” narrative is the reputational damage of having a bar of soap in your lineup.

This is their ICE SUV, for reference:

    Looks fine to me.

Hence I don’t buy the article’s reasoning. They didn’t have to make a big ugly EV blobfish, but they did because they wanted a Tesla SUV to sell to the ultra rich by the bucket load.

    And they are.

It’s working, long term reputation be damned.

This article is bullshit fed by car makers. The Luce was a compliance car, designed to not sell so Ferrari can whine to EU about emissions restrictions. Mercedes did the same thing.

You can bullshit about why it looks as bad as it does, but there is no reason why an EV should cost $640,000.

It’s ridiculous…. I own a 296 GTB and would never ever ever ever consider getting the Luce. Not even in my wildest nightmares

Ferrari only let you buy one of the cool ones if you first buy some of the crap ones.

They have to buy this turd to get on a list to buy the car they want.

The demographic here is people who do not work for money.

          In general I agree.

In the bygone days I used to race in a Porsche that would now be considered Production, my sponsors wife raced Ferraris. They had a fairly large collection of them (as well as Porsches) they were both architects and owned a firm where they both worked. I’ve never been an Italian car guy so I generally don’t get the love but Ferrari people are Ferrari to their toes.

It looks like a big ugly rubber shoe that you would find at stall mall, imported from some tiny obscure country with slave labor. It reminds me of these companies that just buy things from random factories and put their brand on it.

I mean the details and styling aren’t bad even if they dont read as very Ferrari (honestly they kinda make me think honda), but the silhouette is just kinda… Not anything…

Not sure how a design team looked at that and felt like it was finished. Its missing a major element of what gives a design its character

It isn’t really pretty, but I’d want to see it in the flesh before having a definitive judgement.

Also the Purosangue, Mundiial or 612 weren’t so pretty, even if they probably looked better.

The interior looks nice though and you spend most of your time inside.

I actually don’t hate it. I like that it’s not aggressive looking like every other car on the market. And I absolutely dig the interior. I would have hated it in a sports car, but it works great in Luce.
