Hi!
Tactical voting in the UK has been commanding increased attention in the last few years. It appears that the “tactical vote” is now a target by political parties, in a similar way to how they target other demographics / groups. During the Gorton and Denton by election - we saw three separate parties appealling to the tactical voter, claiming that they were the tactical choice.
It is therefore important to be aware of a potential increase in false tactical information.
Furthermore, there is a recent push to provide tactical voting advice for every election, including tomorrow’s local elections - something which hasn’t really been done in the past.
I just wanted to share what I consider to be the best resource for finding accurate tactics voting advice. Cheers!
please post topics on voting much earlier, people need to register to vote and some people vote in advance through mail.
The problem is that many potential progressives don’t even get to exercise their right to vote, wheras conservatives always ensure they get to vote.
Cutting it a bit close!

Yeah it still looks like most of the seats aren’t showing advice. I’m hoping they do have them all by tomorrow, but I guess they might not have the resources to do literally every seat.
I had a pretty good idea of what the tactical vote would be in my area, but fortunately it became available on the site before I sent my postal vote anyway.
Getting the same advice 😵💫
Me too, not that it matters, I’ve already sent in my postal vote…just curious to see if I’ve fucked it up
Edit grammar
Same here. No idea how it’s gonna go in my area.
Aren’t some of these tactical voting sites run by the political parties, though? Not independent views.
You’re exactly right, which is why we have to be so careful. I think we’re going to see a big increase in that kind of thing, especially around the next general election - as parties who suffer from tactical voting attempt to muddy the water

Pretty much all of the progressive parties in my constituency have been selling themselves as the “tactical choice”, despite there being a new proportional voting system in Wales that doesn’t really allow that.
The Greens seem to be the worst for it, to the point of citing a poll back in January that said they were neck and neck with Reform for the last seat. You would expect better from them really, its kinda putting me off.
I agree, very off putting. Hence why it’s important we listen to independent advice, not the parties themselves
