  • Was scrolling to see if anyone else had made this point. Yesterday me and the family had a Sunday Roast. Chicken, roast potatoes, mash, cabbage and carrots, stuffing, and yorkshire puddings. Costs about £20 depending which shop you go to. For the most part, a healthy meal (granted the puds and roasties are indulgent) and can feed a family or you could make it and have leftovers for days. For £3-6 you can have the frozen ready-meal version which is pumped full of preservatives and shite, and is unhealthy as fuck. If you’re strapped for cash the choice is simple.

I can see the argument coming that it’s a shit example so let’s take a look at another.

    Salmon & Grilled Vegetables.

Fresh Salmon - £6-8 Fresh Veg - £3-4 Time to make: 40 mins? Give or take.

    Same meal, microwave-cooked:

£3-4 Time to make: 4 mins

One of them is calorie rich, low nutrient, packed with salt and additives, so unhealthy as fuck. Can you guess which one?
