Yeah, I don’t do dry cleaning. You either survive the laundry gauntlet or you don’t.

The only thing I will hand wash are my knitted creations cause I put so much love and labor into them.

I gave up on hand washing delicates despite their label insisting that was the only way a long time ago. It has never mattered for me.

I highly doubt that, most knitted fast fashion is machine knitted because it is so much faster and more uniform. I do try to go for hand knitted stuff when I can ($$$) and then I hand wash it.

Edit: I should add that I hand wash it if it needs that. Acrylic yarn is fine in the machine, same with superwash yarn.

I had to go to the dry cleaners before a wedding a few years back. I chose the local place over a chain, but the lady working there was super rude and I decided not to give them my business anymore. I haven’t gone to a dry cleaners yet, but one day I’ll have another wedding or funeral to attend and when that day finally comes they’ll feel the wrath of my totally impactful boycott.

Same. But I’m getting most of my clothes from thrift stores, so I am pretty sure most of them have already passed that test many times by now.

Yup! Garment bag in washing machine on cold, then hang to dry. It’s rare for me to dry clean anything, I have maybe 2-3 formal pieces that I’ll dry clean and that’s about it.
