Boomer can be used to mean a specific age range or just someone old, especially if they’re bad with tech or hold odious views.

Boomers ARE old people though. The youngest would have been born in 1965. Today they would be 61. 10 years ago they’d be 51.
So 10 years ago calling someone in their 50s a boomer would still be correct. Today however, that would be GenX.
Language didn’t evolve, you’re just not keeping up with math. Which I assure you, math never changes. You’re either right, or you’re wrong.
