App used to automatically load posts from what I recall but no longer seems to even under “all” categories so it’s certainly not a "tiny communities/no new posts” thing. If I scroll back to the top of “all” and drag down to refresh, new content loads
Boost/Lemmy/android/pixel8a but seems like a server issues unless I’ve missed a setting somewhere?
Same here. The last couple of weeks infinite scroll has been broken with lemmy.world. Tried another instance and it still works fine so I assume it is a lemmy.world problem.
The boost app pops up a timeout when it happens so presumably lemmy.world is dropping connections for some reason.
Helpful, thanks. I don’t understand why other instance content wouldn’t come through on “all” just the same if it’s a one-instance issue, but I know little of how any of this works!
Maybe .world uses more aggressive rate limiting or their server just can’t keep up with all the users scrolling endlessly and requesting so many posts? If the problem is only on their instance it’s easy enough to export your profile and go to a different one.
I am also leaning this direction. My subscriptions flow for quite a while. Where “new” will load 20ish posts and then need a refresh. Sometimes on my death scrolls it will drop to 1-2 posts on refresh. Rate limiting feels like an answer to this.
I’ve had this issue when I was using the mute community feature, but it went away when I switched to blocking.
I don’t have any communities muted, just blocked.
