It’s Rose (flamboyant) obviously
This is the way.
Decorated Gothic my love
Oriel!
Agreed!
Norman. I’m a simple man
Anglo Saxon, that’ll do just fine
Too fancy for me.
Decorated gothic. Wide enough to look out of, but narrow enough to be practical.
If you got the space for it a Rose (rayonnant) window is the way to go
You got to come armed and ready to educate people from first principles on window aesthetic. You got to build them up and let them develop opinions before you can converse.
It’s always a pain when you have a niche obsession.
Rose, obviously.
Lancet is acceptable for fighting raiders.
Plate Tracery - two lancets in one plus a bit extra for style
Oriel.
Oriel for sure
I think Lancet or Tudor would be it. not too many frills but not just a hole in the wall.
based
Perpendicular!
Why are so many rectangular with an arched top?
Rectangle is easy shape, arch holds weight better
Arch also sheds water better, a flat top would have water coming down in front of the window instead of around it
Lancet is the only acceptable answer, none of the others offer as superior a position to fire an arrow from.
