    I agree, and they selected a wide variety of owls as well. The Spectacled Owl is a neat bonus, since they aren’t from here, they’re from Central and South America.

        Nope, the Spectacled Owl is named after the white stripes around their eyes that name it look like they’re wearing glasses, spectacles being an older term for eyeglasses. That’s not to say that a Spectacled Owl couldn’t make a spectacle of itself!
