Do you know what happens to the “casualties” that are rounded up as well?

Their trust in the government is broken, and at the same time they will be exposed to the true criminals and gang members, who will tell them that this is exactly why you need a gang, to protect yourself from the government.

    And so the radicalization starts.

When innocent people starts having to protect themselves from the government instead of the government protecting the innocent, then you have a BIG problem.

El Salvador might be safer now than before, sure, but if they only focus on punnishments, it is doomed to fail.

But it is true that I have read that it will be hard to sustain something like this longevity. This place has been Heaven sent for the people of El Salvador. I know personally because my father is from there I have dual citizenship from that country I travel there a lot and trust me the country did a complete 180
