I’m really not looking forward to working with Gen Alpha. They’re going to be the ones to champion AI replacement, naively believing it’s going to get them ahead.
No offense intended to individuals of that generation. You’ve only known a world where technology does most of the work. The corporations that will exploit your knowledge are the real problem.
as someone in gen-z who didn’t have a ton of limiters on my screen time. Gen alpha is fucked. I was only constantly exposed to the internet starting at 8 and I can only imagine how muchvworse it will be for someone who had a screen in their face since before their brain could form memories.
My buddy who works in a high school said he was working on something in a classroom for longer than usual witnessed the end of two class periods - the last few minutes when the lesson was over but the bell hadn’t rang yet. Instead of kids turning to each other and socializing until the bell rang the entire class just simultaneously reached into their pockets and pulled out their phones in silence. He asked and the teacher said it was absolutely typical.

Not to mention using AI to get through school.
