I used to have a basement wolf spider that occasionally would wander upstairs. I’d scoop him up in a cup taking back down to where all the bugs come in. Dude was massive I remember seeing him around for a little over a year before he disappeared. After he presumably died house centipedes moved in. God damn nightmare creatures by comparison. At least they do a better job of staying downstairs.
Spiders are chill bros.
I leave 'em alone and they eat the other critters, we have an understanding.

So you have webs all over your walls?
Every (non-Australian) house needs at least one corner spider
Aussie here. We keep corner spiders too. In fact, Bazza is looking at me right now from his cozy corner in the loo.
We try to keep the huntsmen (the huntswomen and huntschildren too) outside, as they freak our city-dwelling friends out.
I always thought huntsmen spiders were one of the coolest critters that live over there
