I accidently showed this one to a friend that doesn’t watch anime … and he basically said the show is very accurate and he was that guy in elementary school. I thought it was an exaggerated trope, but apparently the show is spot on.

Bedingt durch eine Baustelle auf der Bahnstecke hatte ich vor ein paar Monaten eine Zugfahrt aus der Hölle. ICE Strecke zwischen Freiburg und Karlsruhe war gesperrt, ich musste von Basel nach Frankfurt. Wegen der Baustelle über Strassbourg.
Normal dauert die Fahrt ca 4h mitm ICE, direkt oder mit einmal Umsteigen. Wegen der Baustelle waren es dann schon 5.5h, planmässig. Aber es ging so ziemlich alles schief. Erster Zug verspätet, Anschluss and den TGV verpasst, die nächsten 3 TGVs ausgebucht (und die SNCF verkauft dann einfach keine Tickets mehr, Punkt). Also Regionalbahn bis zur Grenze, dann nächste Regionalbahn … die fiel aus, nächste hatte 3 Wagen weniger, also absolut überfüllt. Ist dann auch nicht bis zum Endbahnhof (Karlsruhe) gefahren wegen technischen Problem, also nochmal Umsteigen.
Nach 4h war ich dann in Karlsruhe, hälfte der Strecke. Zum Glück war ein Bekannter mitm Auto in der Nähe und ist nochmal ein Stück zurück gefahren um mich in Karlsruhe abzuholen (wir hatten das selbe Ziel).
Problem dann war: Ich musste 2 Tage später wieder zurück und die Baustelle war immer noch da. Und ich hatte so kein Bock mehr darauf … also nachm Flieger geschaut. Günstig war es nicht, weil super kurzfristig, aber ey es war angenehm.
Also ich kurz darauf nach Hamburg musste hab ich direkt den Flieger genommen. Und ja, wenn man früh genug bucht kostet es kaum mehr als die Bahn (ok, ich far immer erste Klasse) aber man spart bei der Strecke mindestens 2h.

But when going out to eat? Drinks come in a glass or cup, food comes on a plate, side dishes in bowls. I’m sure the kitchen produces waste, but you don’t really get to see it.
No sauce or pot involved in raclette (except for pre-preparing stuff like boiled potatoes).
It’s basically a specialised hotplate on a table with a bunch of tiny pans. Then you put up a buffet of special cheese and other ingredients on the table and everyone get’s to combine them in their own little pan and put it on the hotplate.
So really there is no good reason to ban a specific ingredient, as you can just not use it. It’s mostly a joke.
