I have an N2B parka jacket I bought years ago and I didn’t wear it once last year now that I think about it. We’d usually always get a Indian Summer, but it was very brief and only through early September, not all the way into October.
Like I mentioned it doesn’t feel right at night time. Climate change is very real.
I remember when it would be chilly by mid-September and the leaves would already be turning
Hell I remember some Octobers where there was already snow flurries on Halloween. We’ll see how the rest of the month pans out but so far pretty bad.
I now live in an area where central air conditioning wasn’t even a normal architectural consideration.
Now climate change is making a lack of central air conditioning a lot more noticeable.
Thankfully I was spared this summer here in the north east we only had like 2 real heatwaves I had to turn the ac on and run fans. Probably not going to be the case going forward.
Same. For now.
I fear I will never see temperatures below 100F in this year.
My heart goes out to the arid areas. At least by November we’ll dip into the 40s-50s but y’all that sucks.
It’s 106F here 🫠
Yeah, I’m so sick of it being over 100F. My (landlord’s) nonnative outdoor plants got fried this summer.
Normal.
The only leaves that are changing are the ones dying from drought. 🙃
Somehow this reads like a folkpunk lyric
I’m still having to run my air conditioner at night. The only positive I can think of is at least we’re having a period of actually tolerable temperatures after such an unbearable summer before it starts getting cold. But even last year I was having to start to run the heaters by mid-October, guess that’s no longer the case moving forward.
Where I live, we’ve already had a few nights of frost and many of my outside plants have died. I hate autumn
I’m not trying to say anything here other than just disliking the colder climate I happen to live in
