It’s more of a brave new world sorta thing than the great escape homage of the first film. Due to the media it’s satirising you could probably pull a communist reading from it pretty easily, but my main takeaway was that it felt like it was poking fun at how people consider free-range to be ethical and not just, like, less evil than battery farming.
The chickens return to the island, and their life returns to normal, now with Molly and Frizzle doing aerial reconnaissance for chicken farms on the mainland, and the chicken crew liberating those they find.
I want to watch this now.Makes sense. I should check it out.
