    French has a specific quirk (one among a metric ton of others) with this subject. The country and the country’s people names get a capital, but the nationality adjective does not.

    Les Anglais d’Angleterre sont des personnes anglaises.

    The English from England are English people.

    I think it may also be the case for all Romance languages.
