Actually not, it only happens in YouTube videos that say “a dull sword is more dangerous than a sharp one”.

Work Reform@lemmy.world•Not saying this is Hell, but it's pretty fucking close
2·3 days agoPeople not being able to retire, even not able to survive on the income they get. Heart attack is a consequence of lifestyle that people have to live these days. Many people simply don’t feel enough, that sense of not being enough and being replaceable often leads to a decline in mental and physical health.

1·3 days agoThat’s happening pretty much everywhere in the corporate.
You won’t be having one to not teach her anything anyway.
I wonder how people with an IQ of a potato will survive if even a small conflict starts in their locality, let alone a world war.
Yes because they want to remove the memories of all the trauma once you’ve made peace with it.
Just because you don’t know how a thing works, doesn’t mean that your lack of knowledge overshadows facts. Good luck!
It is how the US looks like to the people living in the US with all the privileges and fat accumulation from deep-fried burgers. If that was what the US looked like to people outside the US, they would never go through so much to migrate.
Shared drives are a massive pain in Linux actually. If you have three SSDs installed in your PC where one contains Windows, another contains Linux, and one is a shared drive for large files, Linux simply doesn’t auto-mount that shared SSD. You have to work around that and even when you configure it to auto-mount, small things like lock screen wallpapers would reset to default on every startup if the image was placed in a different drive.
Linux does not play nice either. Windows, MacOS and Linux have different file systems. And you can do whatever you want on a Windows computer, MacOS is a bit restricted/limited but the sheer power, nicer interface and amazing capabilities make up for that. To be honest, Linux is useless in my workflow because Linux simply doesn’t support my use case.
However, I love how lightweight Linux is, especially the Fedora KDE Plasma. I use it just for fun and to stay in touch with Linux because I had a spare SSD lying around and extra ports in my PC baseboard. From a personal usage and work usage standpoint, Linux is of no use for my use case.
“It just does the job on any machine and good luck if you use a shared drive on a dual-boot system.” would be my answer. I settled for Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop after using Ubuntu and Cinnamon for 3 years. Windows and MacOS remain my primary OS because my main workflow only works on those two. Using Linux just for normal and shady stuff.
Until it gets dark.
None of them are as cheap as mentioned in the post. But the snakey boi wins easy. The spiky boi is good if you wanna connect multiple devices and WiFi based file sharing in ecosystem setups. But the snakey boi has no dropping WiFi packets issues because it is simply internet plugged into your computer. Plus, WiFi travels through your walls the way it wants. Snakey boi travels through your walls the way you drill the holes to pass the cable. So, snakey boi wins always!

22·9 days agoTake out the RAMs and other vital hardware components like GPUs before burning these. AI slop has been a pain and the price increase due to chip shortage is a massive annoyance.
Some of these ads actually makes me think that artificial intelligence is for the naturally dumb.

Reddit is also killing itself lately. I hope it goes down forever and good platforms like Discuit or Lemmy become the mainstream thing.
