Most people are still on Reddit, lemmy isn’t big enough yet…
And it’s a paradox because if we keep using Reddit its user base won’t shrink and people won’t move.
So what do we do? Maybe keep going there to keep finding these really niche advices or fixes, but without interacting? IDK TBH
Ohh I’m trying this out as soon as I can, I was just in the process of getting rid of my useless accounts!
3·6 hours agoHonestly I just like the UI, it looks great and it’s fast. It’s also customizable enough for my needs, and is native to iOS so it follows its design/UI rules. In terms of space it is indeed a bit bigger, but honestly it doesn’t bother me that much it’s only 40MB more. Last but not least, the dev team is very helpful and answers quickly on their Matrix chat.
I’m curious though, what features do you think it lacks?

Oh yeah it is, but in my original post I was referring to the UI change. They worsened the UX in favor of their AI advertising.
Well…
I hope they never touch the mobile app ever. Upgrade the ai model? Add new languages? Sure! But please no ads or popups. Even Apple’s suite is making AI ads now…
Yep but he UX is the problem here, the homepage used to be the translator. Fortunately, you can fix this by bookmarking the /translator page.
I didn’t complain about that huge pop-up that shifts the whole UI down so you have to either close it or scroll down, but it’s becoming worse and worse.
I come specifically from this.

2·2 days agoI don’t understand why is everybody hating? It threw me off and made me laugh at first but I find it perfectly readable.
If you’re based near a coastal city, register at the closest sailing club for training sessions they likely have Laser/ILCA Dinghys they’re very fun to sail.
