I always see this as a suggestion but when I researched it, it landed on a few issues if you’re over 18yo.
-
Professionals struggle to diagnose adults because if we got this far, we’ve learned a lot of coping/masking mechanisms that can hide issues
-
Professionals are often trained on autism data for children, where they can quickly pick out signs. Diagnosing adults requires significantly more study time, and using data for children.
-
The cost for these are not covered by most insurance, and the fees can range a couple thousand of dollars.
-
Confirmed diagnosis only verifies if you are on the spectrum. But it also adds it to your health records, which may be used against you (as we’ve seen governments do).
This is all information from Autism Speaks and a few other resources.
I’m not for or against. I’m pointing out the discoveries I saw when I explored it.
-
It’s reached a point where the government is pushing for websites to card you before you can enter.
Women apps were giving data so the government can arrest women for abortion-like behavior.
We’re already at the point where privacy/anonymity is the only way to visit the internet.
Appreciate this.
That’s how classic Reddit was for me.
Mods who are extremely rigid to the rules had to exist when the spammers went crazy. But with smaller communities, modding should be based on vibes. You get better conversations that way.
Honestly that sounds great. I’m kind of annoyed how often NordVPN keeps emailing me and trying to upsell me on the daily.
The service is fine overall. But the nonstop promotion, along with it being a US company that can easily just give all their info to the US government, makes me wanting to switch pronto.

A decade ago, I noticed it was 10 minutes of trailers. And a few ads for random products showed up.
30 minutes of this? This is new to me.
It’s a quote from AOC. Fair enough. Not everyone is into the political memes of it all.
