Do you have a source for this quote? The only previous mention of it I can find is this unsourced Reddit post. Makes me skeptical about its authenticity.

Looks like much of the text is slop too, the groups of 3 are very common with LLMs. I certainly wouldn’t trust this service with anything of importance.

The arbitrary limit on the number of domains is what made me stop using Proton; I use mailbox.org now and haven’t had any issues with it

Been satisfied with mailbox.org as my email provider for over a year now, switched to it from Proton.

Yeah sorry about that, was the default format in my spreadsheet software and I didn’t think to change it

Yep, I cloned the git repo and wrote a script to step through commits a week at a time and count the total em dashes in the repo at each point in time

I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re refering to as GNU + Linux, is in fact, Linux

The regex is to match only em dashes in comments (following a //). If you want to search for all em dashes you can just do that (though there’s no need for the -o since grep matches lines and wc -l counts lines).

$ git clone https://github.com/y4my4my4m/harmony && grep -R "//.*—" harmony | wc -l
17
17 em dashes in comments… yeah that’s slop
Happy to hear you enjoyed it (though full disclosure I did steal it)

Imo it would be awesome if every person could have only one single account. Bans and restrictions have much more impact which forces users to behave more like irl.
What about people who want to criticize their oppressive government without risk of being identified from their post history? People questioning their gender or sexuality who don’t want to come out to everyone yet? People who view or post NSFW things and don’t want it associated with their primary account?
There are plenty of valid reasons to have multiple accounts besides ban evasion.

Some modern hard drives transparently encrypt all data with an internal key, which can be erased with a special secure erase command. Comes in handy for wiping drives without spending hours overwriting the enire disk.

A cool project! Sure hope it’s not AI slop!
em dashes in code comments
sigh

Unfortunately there’s not much I can do as an individual besides protesting and educating people about the issues with our current system, and voting for the least bad choices within the constraints of that system. It would be great if everyone in the US could unify and reform the government but there’s just not enough support for that yet.

It’s like we have two choices, one is a piece of shit and the other is a mountain of shit, they’re both shit but the only sensible choice is to pick the smallest amount of shit

Why use an if statement that compiles down to a conditional branch instruction and takes a nanosecond or two to execute, when you can outsource the decision making to a paid cloud service with expensive hardware that multiplies matrices with billions of elements to get your answer?

Do you think a passive heatsink like this would work? As I understand it 1U servers usually use a passive heatsink with fans pushing air through the case horizontally, rather than an active heatsink with a fan. Noise isn’t a problem since it’s in a server room so I can cram in as many fans as is necessary.
Thanks, looks like it’s accessible through Google Books (end of page 29).
